Regular and International Curriculum
The 2025 curriculum applies an Outcome-Based Education approach and comprises 45 credits delivered over three semesters: 20 credits in Semester 1, 12 credits in Semester 2, and 13 credits in Semester 3. It combines core and university courses, specialisation courses, an internship, thesis preparation and research, scientific publication, and electives.

Specialisation and Semester 3
Students select one of seven areas of specialisation: Medical-Surgical Nursing, Nursing Management, Mental Health Nursing, Community Nursing, Maternity Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, or Emergency and Critical Care Nursing. Semester 3 includes a six-credit thesis, two-credit scientific publication, Islamic Worldview, Sharia-Based Nursing, and one elective in Nurspreneurship, Digital Nursing, or Nursing Education.
Approval and learning beyond the program
The curriculum was formally approved through UNISSULA Rector’s Decree No. 11375/A.1/SA/III/2026 and applies from Academic Year 2025/2026. Learning beyond the program may include collaborative research, inter-institutional seminars, clinical or community internships, and student participation in faculty research and research-based community engagement, subject to approved equivalence of outcomes, workload, and assessment.
International Class
The same curriculum, with international enrichment
The International Class follows the same 45-credit OBE curriculum and four program learning outcomes as the regular program. International enrichment is delivered through selected English-medium learning activities, team teaching, guest lecturers and visiting professors, joint classes, student exchange and academic mobility, collaborative research and publication, international scientific forums, and international internships.
The International Class combines Outcome-Based Education, Evidence-Based Nursing, intercultural communication, global leadership, Islamic Academic Culture, Islamic Nursing, and Maqashid Shariah. Its implementation is coordinated through the existing faculty and program governance structure and quality-assurance system.
