Learning Assessment Guide
Formative and summative assessment
Learning is assessed through formative and summative methods selected for each course and learning outcome. Methods may include OSCEs, essays, multiple-choice and short-answer tests, case studies, reflective learning, oral examinations, observation, presentations, projects, and reports. Clinical assessment may use logbooks, reports to preceptors or mentors, direct observation of procedural skills, case examinations, Student Oral Case Analysis, and critical incident reports.
Grading and assessment criteria
Assessment methods, weightings, indicators, and rubrics are specified in course plans and communicated to students.
